Are you interested in adopting a lifelong companion?
1. You must be 21 years of age.
- Rabbits live 10 to 12 years, and longer. Are you prepared to give a soulmate rescue your time, affection, quality vet care, nutritious salads and plenty of exercise opportunities?
2. Our rabbits are seen by a rabbit-savvy veterinarian. A physical exam is done to ensure your bun is in great health, prior to adoption. Their vet records and an adoption booklet will be given to you.
3. We are with our fosters night & day. They have unique personalities. We can tell you who's a hay gobbler, who's a leaper; digs; climbs; snores; snubs veggies; is an interior decorator; and other specific traits.
4. Many rescue groups do a short home visit. Pictures of your set-up and living space ease the transition/s. We'd like to see where your companion will be staying or exploring -- as innumerable time is devoted to our rescues. Snapshots of your new companion's environment are very helpful.
5. Additional info will help SRR make the best house rabbit match for you, your lifestyle, and routines.
The adoption process involves emails, phone call, photos shared/house visit, or personal exchange of info. Impulse purchases rarely work in the lifelong interest of family.SRR buns will remain indoors with their companions and humans. Plenty of natural sunlight, via windows, or a nicely furnished basement area are required. A car ride, trip to vet, outing to an education event, is a recognized reason to be outside the home-safe structure.
- We give Vet Recommendations.
- SRR does not endorse "preemie" alterations on young rabbits.- Matchmaking service (dating) is available.
- We do complimentary in-home nail trims for your bunns. At your convenience.
- We are here to assist if you ever have a concern.Adoption fee is $30. $45 for a bonded pair.
A rehoming service is available provided you can care for your rabbit until he/she finds the right home.
-- This allows you to meet the person/s who will give your companion a great home! --
In memory of the "many babies" who were born ~ and died on the streets ~ spay/neuter surgeries will prevent overpopulation and carcinoma health concerns.
