Soulmate Rabbit Rescue / SRR Newsletter

February / March 2008

In October a young family came to SRR to meet a few adoptable rabbits, and Gigi was suggested as a possible match. It was heartwarming to see that Katherine (Photo: Shown stroking Gigi's head) already knew to offer a strand of hay to the fosters as a welcome gesture.

Several weeks later, with Gigi in her new home, Katherine's Mom reports that when she comes home from school, Katherine and her sisters build cardboard castles and obstacle courses for Gigi. Gigi discovered the large-size Lego box, and knocks it over, making as much noise as possible moving them around. Katherine and Gigi sit in their favorite cubby for a long while. While Katherine sings and Gigi "sleeps", getting head pets. Mom writes, they are "quite the pair."

Rabbit guardians are the best educators when it comes to helping teach people about the realities of owning a rabbit.

Katherine's parents are able to teach, and show, their daughters how to lovingly care for a bunny.
