Sept 2007. ~ Lucky Ladies

Dear Grandma Julie and Grandpa Karl,

My mom, Ballerina, suggested that I write to thank you for taking such good care of me for such a long time. My mom says she's really happy to see that I have turned out to be such a sweet young lady. She's very proud that I give my human companions kisses every day just like she does. She also approves of my new beau, Norman.

Norman and I have been dating for four weeks now. At first he was a little shy, but he really opened up once I started grooming his ears. As you know, I come from a long line of serious groomers. Would you believe that Norman loved the ear massages that I gave him so much that today he massaged my ears! I've now got the shiniest ears in this household. Norman also washed my face really good this morning. It felt so good to have my face washed in all those hard to reach places.

Norman and I have been cuddling most of the morning today. He also likes to come in my house to play. I went to his house yesterday, but there's just a little more room to play in my house. Norman also likes to finish off the ends of my lettuce. That's okay with me because it helps keep my house tidy.

Our human companions told us that today we are going to move to new quarters. Soozie said she thinks it will take a month to get all the bunny hair removed from the kitchen. She laughed when she said it, so I think she really liked having us around even if she had to limit her cooking for the past several weeks. Philip said that we are really going to like our new quarters. We will have even more room to play. Norman and I like doing alternating binkies in the morning. Norman said he might carve me a cardboard castle in the shape of Washington County. He thinks the Florida map he carved in his hidey house is getting a little worn. My Norman--he's so talented! Binkies and Kisses, Zilly

Thank you to Dennis for taking photos when Dr. Lichtenberger, Dr. Jennifer Bloss, and Dr. Denise Follett gave veterinary talks at the WI State Fair in August. Dr. Follett mentioned that Brook-Falls Veterinary Hospital has several 11- and 12-year-old rabbits in the practice. Sue brought several pets for the attendees to see. ~ Savor each day with your furr children. They are Very Lucky to know your warmth and care!

Cheers, Julie and Karl
